Abstract:
Two cultivars of rose (Sonia and Livia) were hydroponically grown in a glasshouse.
Nutrient solution was supplied to plants by pumping flow method.
The concentration of individual nutrients in the nutrient solution was periodically monitored during the cultivation cycle.
The nutrient consumption by each cultivar was calculated from the changes of the nutrient concentrations in the solutions and the additions made to it.
Livia plants used greater amounts of all the nutrients than Sonia ones, specially N. Results obtained may be used as a fertilization guide for these plants.
