BED & BENCH HEATING FOR PROPAGATION

Author:   P.M. Stearne
Abstract:
Accurate control of conditions during propagation has been one of the main factors in improving final crop quality. By employing root zone heating techniques accurate control can be achieved with low energy inputs. The need for accurately controlled root zone heating systems has been further highlighted by the increasing use of micro-propagation methods. In this paper modern systems for propagation are described following a review of the requirements and traditional systems.
