Abstract:
Very attractive small size(2–3 cm diameter) fruits from new varieties of tomato, pepper and eggplant were picked at full ripe stage, wrapped in different plastic film and stored at 2 different temperatures, 5 and 10°C.
Eggplant fruits showed a good quality maintenance when overwrapped in perforated and non-perforated plastic film regardless the storage temperature.
Pepper and tomato fruits kept their attractiveness if stored at 5°C in low water vapor trasmission rate (WVTR) films.
Yellow peppers showed chilling injury at 5°C in naked sample.
Subjective firmness scored low values in naked and perforated samples correlated with weight loss.
