| Abstract:
The growth of Fuji is very vigorous even on the dwarfing rootstock M.9, but the dry matter production per g dry weight of the leaf of this cultivar did not differ from that of the less vigorous Tsugaru. The top/root ratio of Fuji trees was significantly higher than that of Tsugaru trees. It is suggested that the top of Fuji tree grows on a relatively smaller root system as compared with Tsugaru. | |
