| Abstract:
Food plants are numerous in Apiaceae. Some vegetable of this family, formerly produced in France, are studied with the idea of their economic resurgence. Tuberous-rooted chervil -Chaerophyllum bulbosun L.-, in which the root is eaten, had not known a real development since his introduction in France on 1846. Genetic and physiological problems are probably the main reason about this. The experiments done since 1982, have contributed to a genetic and practical adjustment of the plant. Skirret -Sium sisarum L.-, essentially known as root vegetable, has been cultivated certainly since its introduction during the 15th century before disappearing during the 19th century. Today, in the morphogenetic situation of the plant, resurgence of skirret could be considered mainly for etiolated sprouts production of which is obtained at the beginning of spring. | |
