Abstract:
The stress factors in horticulture have been analyzed.
The stress factor with the highest work load in horticulture was found in unphysiological body postures.
These mostly occured during handwork on or near the ground.
All informations about stooping, kneeling and squatting were gathered.
Working persons and physicians were asked for their subjective assessments.
The kinds of body postures on photographs in journals are analyzed.
The rank of relaxation allowances for body postures in relaxation-allowances-systems were investigated.
Possible body injuries were discussed and the results of three studies were compared with respect to the ergonomic data for the above body postures.
Stooping appears to be the most favourable body posture of all these unphysiological postures.
