Abstract:
During a period of 9 years, the susceptibility of 18 nectarine cultivars to plum pox virus (sharka virus) was studied in the orchard. All the cultivars were planted in an experimental farm of the Pomology Institute of Naoussa.

From the observations taken on the severity of fruit symptoms and the percentage of symptom, bearing fruits, the following 11 cultivars were found tolerant or less sensitive: Crimson Gold, Fantasia, May Grand, Delicious, Hatjigeorgiou, Stark Sunglo, Nectared No.6, Charalampidis No. 2, Nectared No.8, Red Gold, and Nectared No.4.
