Abstract:
In the production of nuclear stocks and motherplants of ornamentals, all types of indexing methods are used, including bioassay, serology, electron microscopy, and hybridization assay.
Reliable, sensitive and quick detection methods at low costs are needed for quality control of agricultural products on a large scale (propagation and breeding material). In these cases ELISA and, to a smaller extend, cDNA are used.
Various detection methods, test protocols and test facilities in different countries will be compared.
