Abstract:
Carnation vein mottle (CVMV) and carnation latent (CLV) viruses were purified and antisera obtained for doing ELISA tests. In preliminary experiments, DAS-ELISA proved to be more sensitive than other ELISA systems. Detectability by DAS-ELISA was between 10 and 20 ng/ml for CVMV and between 5 and 10 ng/ml for CLV. Results of field screening were read by simple visual scoring.
