Abstract:
Three soil fumigants were used to control the replanting problem in raspberry.
All of them decreased distinctly and in similar degree the population of root lesion nematodes and greatly improved growth and cropping of cv.
Malling Jewel.
More effective in promoting growth and yield were Di-Trapex and Basamid than D-D. It is suggested that it was due to their both nematocidal and fungicidal properties in comparison with D-D. This indicates that the replanting problem in raspberry in Poland is complex and caused both by nematodes and soil inhabiting fungi.
