Abstract:
Malformed seedlings were found to contain higher total nitrogen, protein content and total amino acids than healthy seedlings during 1982 and 1983. Likewise, the contents of basic, acidic, neutral, and aromatic and sulphur-containing amino acids were also higher in malformed seedlings as compared to the healthy ones during these two years.
Similarly, ammonia content was also higher in malformed seedlings in both the years.
