Abstract:
A combined ento-patho plant protection schedule was evaluated and found superior, both from point of view of reduction in pest complex and yield of mango fruits.
Later, combined schedule having synthetic pyrethroids as optional application in place of conventional insecticides was tested at two locations in South Gujarat alongwith other schedules previously found effective.
The concept of threshold level was adopted to work out the need for application of insecticide in one of the treatment of this experiment.
The results showed that the ento-patho combind schedule of insecticides has given higher yield of Alphonso fruits and also kept the hopper population below threshold level.
