STEM INJECTION OF CHEMICALS FOR CONTROL OF BACTERIAL CANKER OF MANGO |

| Abstract:
Stem injection of chemicals were tried against bacterial canker of mango by Xanthomonas campestris pv. mangiferaeindicae on mango seedlings (cv. Alphanso). All the chemicals were found effective against the disease. Bavistin (1000 ppm) followed by plantomycin (200 ppm) and bavistin (1500 ppm) were found the best. Per cent disease control was 84.14, 82.45 and 80.77 in bavistin (1000 ppm), plantomycin (200 ppm) and bavistin (1500 ppm), respectively. | |
