EFFECT OF CO2 ENRICHMENT ON THE GROWTH OF CYMBIDIUM PLB IN VITRO |

| Abstract:
To examine the effect of CO2 enrichment on the multiplication of Cymbidium PLB, the PLB was propagated under various conditions of CO2 concentration, light intensity and sucrose concentration using a shake culture system. On the increase of dry weight of PLB, the effect of sucrose concentration was distinctive. The effect of CO2 enrichment was observed in the cases with low sucrose concentration. As for the appearance and color, PLB with low sucrose concentration and CO2 enrichment seems healthier throughout the culture period. Effect on nutrient and sugar uptake is discussed. | |
