Abstract:
The experiences and results achieved on micropropagation of different species of Pistacia at the Zanzivivai-Ferrara laboratory are described.
Our interest was particularly drawn to P. integerrima for which a propagation technique is now ready.
By such a technique it has already been possible to obtain some thousands of plantlets of different clones.
P. atlantica and P. vera are giving encouraging results even if they still need a specific setting-up.
The main problems we faced were browning of shoots and culture medium, and shoot tip necrosis.
