THE EFFECT OF 6-BAP AND ADENINE SULPHATE ON PEACH SHOOT PROLIFERATION

Authors:   A. Chiariotti, M. Antonelli
Abstract:
Three peach genotypes were employed: nectarine cv. May Fair and two semidwarf peach selections: IF 7010200E and IF P102. Explants were subcultured on MS medium, additioned with 6-BAP and adenine sulphate, singly or associated. 6-BAP at 5.0 mg/l induced vetrification and could be used only for one subculture in order to obtain an higher proliferation rate in the following subculture with lowered 6-BAP concentration. The effect of adenine sulphate resulted unpredictable: on the genotypes tested it gave contraddictory responses.
