Abstract:
The effect of BAP (0.25, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mg/l) added to the multiplication medium on rooting in vitro and acclimatization was studied, in relation to five cultivars of Rosa hybrid a. In the second experiment the influence of IAA ( 0.1, 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 mg/l) applied at different time (5, 10 and 15 days) in rooting medium on the behaviour of cv. Starina shoots during and after acclimatization was investigated. Shoots of all rose cultivars, formed on the media with smaller amounts of BAP, rooted and acclimatized better than shoots from the media with higher amount of this compound. In the second experiment, the omission of IAA in the rooting medium significantly improved plantlet acclimatization.
