RAPID PROPAGATION OF NEMATANTHUS HYBRID IN VITRO |

| Abstract:
In Vitro propagation of Nematanthus hybrid was achieved by culturing of shoot apex explants. Shoot regeneration was induced on a modified Murashige and Skoog's medium (MS) supplemented with 0.5 or 5 μM 6-benzylaminopurine (BA) and either 0.05, 0.5 or 5 μM naphthalene-acetic acid (NAA). Complete plants were obtained by subculturing developed shoots on a MS medium containing 0.25 μM indolebutyric acid (IBA) and successfully established in pots. A 10-fold increase in plant material was achieved after each subculture. | |
