Abstract:
In 1979 SKIRVIN & CHU and HASEGAWA reported on the successful in vitro propagation of roses for the first time.
Commercial micropropagation was started in France in 1978 by DELBARD (1982) who mentioned a number of economic advantages of this mode of propagation.
Our experiments were initiated in 1983 with the aim to investigate effects of cultivars, node position, explant type, temperature and ethylene on micro-propagation.
