Abstract:
Ruscus racemosus Moench (Liliaceae) sterile explants, excised from both seedlings and rhizomes of in vivo cultivated plants, were grown in vitro on different multiplication media.
All explants proliferated small rhizomes bearing leafy shoots, that rooted easily on the same multiplication media without auxins; the best rooting results, however, were obtained when liquid medium containing sucrose and NAA was added to the jelled medium surface.
The rooted explants were successfully transferred to in vivo growth conditions.
