Abstract:
All stages of the successful micropropagation of Lonicera periclymenum cv Serotina (honeysuckle) are reported.
Shoot proliferation was achieved using single nodes, and superior growth was achieved on Woody Plant Medium rather than Murashige and Skoog's medium, and at a concentration of 0.5 uM benzyladenine rather than 0.1 or 2.5 uM. Shoot tips and nodal micro-cuttings were rooted in vitro or established in vivo by treatment with quick concentrated indole butyric acid dips, the highest concentration used (10 mM) was the most successful.
