| Abstract:
In meristem culture of apple rootstock M26, four contaminating organisms were isolated and cultured, i.e. two gram-negative bacteria and two yeasts. The bacteria were eliminated by applying the cephalosporins cefotaxime and cephalosporin (50 μg/ml) to the culture medium. Several substances were tested for their toxicity to yeast without harming the plant material, but none was found useful. | |
