DEFINITION OF A PEAT-LITE MEDIUM FOR THE USE OF VESICULAR-ARBUSCULAR MYCORRHIZAE (VAM) IN HORTICULTURE |

| Abstract:
The influence of seven substrates on root colonization by five VAM species and its effect on leek plants development was investigated. Mean shoot dry weight of mycorrhizal plants in all substrates were higher than in the non-mycorrhizal ones. Root endomycorrhizal (REC) indices varied significantly between VAM species, regardless of the substrate. The use of PRO-MIX MYCORI-MIX® resulted in good root colonization of the plants and in the greatest shoot dry weight. | |
