| Abstract:
At the Institute for Horticultural Plant Breeding a breeding programme for low light requirement was started, in order to develop carnation genotypes for all year round production under Northern European conditions. In a growth room (100 m2) growth and flowering of 81 carnation genotypes (cultivars and selections) were studied under low light intensity.
