ISHS Acta Horticulturae 212: Symposium on In Vitro Problems Related to Mass Propagation of Horticultural Plants

IN VITRO CULTURE OF ALNUS SPECIES

Authors:   L. Cremiere, H. Sbay, D. Prat
Abstract:
Rooted plantlets may be regenerated by in vitro micropropagation of Alnus species. Shoots were multiplied on WPM with glucose (15 gl-1), BAP (1–2.5 μM), IBA (0.25–1μM) and L. citrulline (1.66 mM), concentrations were depending on the species tried. For A. incana MS medium was better than WPM. Rhizogenesis was in vitro induced by IBA (0.5–1.0μM). Tried Alnus species were : A. cordata, A. hirsuta, A. incana, A. inokumae, A. nepalensis, A. rubra, A. subcordata and A. viridis.
