Abstract:
Abnormal M-26 and 0–3 vitreous plants, cultured in a rooting media supplemented with various concentrations of phloridzin, resumed a normal growth and rooting.
In all these plants, the enzymes activities were lower than the one observed in normal plants (20 to 30%) but higher than abnormal plants (+ 60 to 85%). There was no change of enzymatic activities during acclimation.
However, plants originally vitreous which had been cured with phenolic treatments exhibited a less vigourous growth in greenhouse (shoot 30% smaller, 50% less roots); this may be related to an initial lack of lignification.
