Abstract:
We examine the problem of endogenous bacterial contamination in the micropropagation of Syngonium podophyllum, Philodendron "Red Emerald" and Ficur elastica var decora.
A bacteria that constantly appeared in the 3 cultures was isolated and cultured in a glucose medium.
Antibiogrammes were done which led to the choice of 2 antibiotics: Cephaloridine and streptomycin.
These were applied to the explants in a series of trials which allowed us to select one of them and finally through curves of activity and phytotoxicity the adequate dose for each species was ascertained.
