ISHS Acta Horticulturae 21: I East African Horticultural Symposium

THE IMPLICATIONS OF HORTICULTURAL EXPORT TO EUROPE DURING WINTER AND SPRING SEASONS

Authors:   D.K. Mbowa, B.C. de Ponteves
Abstract:
Markets which appear to be at a considerable distance from the producing area and which deal with very specialized products can sometimes be seriously considered for supplying with fresh vegetables. This type of enterprise also provides a realistic opportunity for agricultural diversification. The following information was obtained as a result of a recent survey, the objective of which was to collate statistical data for use by producers and exporters of vegetable crops from East Africa.
