Abstract:
Eight months old seedlings of Eucalyptus torquata and E. angulosa received three levels of N (0, 200 and 400 kg ammonium sulphate per feddan (4200 m2) at three months intervals.
Increasing N level from 200 to 400 kg/fed significantly increased the height of trees of both species.
The high level of N (400 kg/fed) gave the highest number of branches.
The two levels of N (200 and 400 kg/fed) greatly increased the percentage of essential oil of both species over the central.
N at 200 kg/fed gave the highest percentage of cineole.
Whereas, N at 400 kg/fed, greath, increased the percentage of citronellol of E. torquata and E. angulosa oils.
