Abstract:
The adoption of innovations is an important means to adjust to changing environmental conditions.
But only a few firms realize the opportunity to cope with increasing cost pressure by an early adoption.
This leads to the question which reasons are responsible for the differences in adoptive behaviour, in order to better understand the process of innovative decision making in horticulture.
This knowledge can also help to strengthen the readiness of firms to innovate and to shape scientific research in a way which accelerates the diffusion of its innovative results among the industry.
