| Abstract:
At the XXII-nd International Horticultural Congress we had the opportunity to meet many colleagues from a great number of countries, and with much interest we have taken notice of their contributions in our fields of research. I therefore enjoy it very much that publication of the texts of these communications is possible. I would like to thank all who have cooperated to reach this goal, in particular the authors themselves, the editorial team and last but not least, the organizing committee of the Davis-congress which has provided funds, and the staff of I.S.H.S. in Wageningen. For many of us the Davis congress was very worthwhile because it enabled us to establish contacts with american economists and for americans to have contacts with researchers from Europe and other countries.
Their interests and approaches are reflected in this Acta and already the differences that can be determined in these fields will make reading of this publication an interesting experience. | |
