| Abstract:
Approximately 1000 ha of grapes (Vitis vinifera L.) are grown in Zulia state. The major cultivars produce 2 to 3 crops per year without an intervening rest period and yield 10 to 20 T per ha. The development of the grape industry in Venezuela is discussed, together with the cultivars and practices used in commercial vineyards. | |
