Abstract:
The response of 'Fernao Pires' grapevine to four levels of N-P-K fertilizer was evaluated during three growing periods in El Tocuyo, Venezuela.
In some periods, higher levels of N-P-K significantly decreased soluble solids and titratable acidity of fruit, whereas pH was not affected.
Pruning weight did not relate well to fertilizer treatments, but yield was markedly increased in the first period.
In general, higher levels of N-P-K decreased fruit quality and increased yield.
Soil salinity was significantly affected by the fertilizer treatments.
