| Abstract:
Weight and volume of apple flower buds were determined during the winter 1983–84. The inhibitory effect of ether extractions from the buds on alfalfa seed germination was studied as a bioassay to determine the depth of rest under Mexican mild winter conditions. Significant correlation coefficients were found between bud weight and volume values vs. maximum temperatures and weighted chill hours during the rest. | |
