Abstract:
On several sweet cherry trees cvs Lambert, Napoleon, Hedelfingen, Romnka, grown in the vicinity of Kjustendil, virus infection was detected.
The symptoms of the disease were mottling and diffuse chlorotic ring spot of the leaves and the rough and crinkle surface of affected fruits at maturity.
The disease was transmitted by double budding to sweet cherry but was not possible to transmit by mechanical inoculation to herbaceous plants.
There were two virus disease isolates.
Isolate A belongs to Prune dwarf virus (PDV) while isolate B was sweet cherry rough fruit.
