ISHS Acta Horticulturae 192: VIII International Symposium on Apricot Culture and Decline

THE RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTS WITH THE BROWN LEAF WEAVIL (PHYLLOBIUS OBLONGUS L.) AS A PARASITE OF THE APRICOT

Authors:   J. Járfás, A. Farag, S. Bognár
Abstract:
The active and the less active periods of the imago alternate every 2–3 hours. In the second part of the day it is permanently active and the strongest activity can be observed in the morning hours. The daily consumption of apricot leaves in the case of an insect was 42.5 mm2, which decreased very much in the case of the increasing number of imagos.
