THE DRENCHING OF MODULE RAISED BRASSICAS FOR THE CONTROL OF CABBAGE ROOT FLY (DELIA RADICUM) USING AN OVERHEAD GANTRY AND SPRAY RACE

Authors:   D.E. Morrish, I. Sandwell
Abstract:
Cabbage Root Fly (Delia radicum) can be controlled in the field by drenching modules before planting provided the material is washed from leaves immediately after application. An overhead gantry was designed for this purpose. A dosing tunnel was designed to be used outside the greenhouse in situations where the insecticide could be damaging to succeeding crops.
