| Abstract:
The trend towards the mechanization of radish growing, particularly in relation to the harvest of defoliated radish, is discussed. A six-row drilling machine and the trials with proto-types of mechanical harvesters from a one-row machine to a six-row radish harvester for rows 12 cm apart are described. Finally, a factory line, developed for washing, sorting, weighing and packing mechanically harvested radish is briefly described. | |
