Authors:   C. Bounous, R. Paglietta
Abstract:
New promising red currant seedlings obtained by our Institute have been considered for the following characters: development and bush habit; leaf size; cluster and berry characters. Phenological phases have been observed.

Selected seedlings A22, A25, A105, C22, show the highest vegetative vigour. A102, C15, C22, C39, C71 bear the heaviest berries; A19, A105 are the most suitable for taste and aroma. A25, B106, B116, C15 being easy to pick and of upright habit, are promising for mechanical harvesting.
