OVERALL HERBICIDE MANAGEMENT OF THE RASPBERRY AND CURRANT

Authors:   T. Cianciara, K. Smolarz
Abstract:
The main herbicides employed on raspberry and currant plantations were soil applied ones, triazin type - Gesatop and Gesaprim. The survived weeds were killed with the aid of foliar herbicides - Gramoxone and Reglone and gramicide-Fusilade. According to the experiment results currants in herbicide treated soil yielded higher than in the mechanical cultivation. Herbicides did not change physico-chemical properties of the soil.

Fusilade proved to be very efficient in killing monoco-tyledonous weeds. Electrodynamic sprayer, produced by British Company ICI demonstrated high efficiency particularly on small plantations, prevailing in our country.
