| Abstract:
N.P.A. van Marrewijk: What will be the implications of 'genetic engineering' and other sub-cellular techniques for the Taxonomy of Cultivated Plants? This may be a subject for future study. In my opinion this may lead to the introgression of various genes from other species into cultivated crops. An 'open' and flexible system of naming and classification of 'cultitypes' will be unavoidable. | |
