Abstract:
The increasingly widespread use of computers in taxonomy will provide an opportunity for a reappraisal of the ways in which data can be stored, classified, retrieved and presented.
The implications of the use of computers in the handling and classification of variation in cultivated plants and genetic resources are far-reaching and deserve much wider study.
