ISHS Acta Horticulturae 181: III International Symposium on Postharvest Physiology of Ornamentals

INFLUENCE OF LOW PRESSURE STORAGE ON STOMATAL OPENING AND ROOTING OF CUTTINGS

Authors:   H.G. Kirk, A. Skytt Anderson
Abstract:
Cuttings from a range of species of ornamentals have been stored under low pressure or normal pressure for 5 wk. In all species stomata were open after low pressure storage and closed after normal pressure storage. No consistent relationship was found between degree of stomatal opening and storability of the different species.
