| Abstract:
The effects were studied of dry periods of different duration on the keeping quality of Astilbe hybr. When flowers were kept dry for 24 hours before placing them in water, vase life was reduced from 6.8 to 3.7 days. Several pre-treatments and cut flower preservative solutions were compared. Of the cut flower preservative solutions, Chrysal and AAdural P gave the best results. | |
