Abstract:
Triteleia laxa are normally good keeping flowers if not pollinated by bees.
If pollination cannot be avoided, inflorescences may be harvested in the 4 flower open stage and opened in to a commercial stage in a 2% sugar solution containing a biocide.
Inflorescences with up to 5 open flowers can be stored at 3° C for 2 weeks and later opened in a sugar solution.
Earlier studies showed that deterioration takes place after 1 month storage and botrytis is a problem beyond that time.
