| Abstract:
Paclobutrazol, the active ingredient of 'Cultar', is a broad spectrum xylem mobile plant growth regulator. Mode of action (the inhibition of gibberellin biosynthesis), uptake and translocation have been studied to help optimise product use for growth retardation and yield promotion of tree fruit crops. Detailed studies of toxicology and environmental fate indicate that paclobutrazol poses no hazard when used as directed. | |
