Abstract:
On young apple plants(cv "Golden Delicious") grown in containers with artificial substrates, the action on growth of 5 different nutritive solutions was evaluated, studying the effect of the type of grafting and of the rootstock used.
The results point out that the influence on growth of the latter variables is higher in magnitude to that due to different nutritive solutions.
Moreover, it emerges that varying nutritive supplies are not reflected in the chemical composition of tissues, if their analysis is referred to the unit of dry matter.
The necessity therefore arises of jointly considering several agronomical parameters and tissue analysis to diagnose more precisely the nutritive requirements of the species considered.
