Abstract:
Begonia, Euphorbia and Saintpaulia were grown in three growth room at three levels of relative air humidity (RH) 55–60, 70–75, and 90–95%. The dry matter production of the plants was largest at high relativ air humidities for both Begonia, Euphorbia, and Saintpaulia, even the transpiration from the plants was reduced with 50 to 60%. The uptake of the different nutrient elements was reduced when the plants were grown at high humidity but significant only for P in Begonia.
