Abstract:
The dicarboximide fungicides /iprodione, procymidone, vinclozolin/ and standard chemicals /captan, dichlofluanid, benomyl/ were tested for control of Botrytis tulipae /Lib./ Lind. on tulips under plastic tunnel and field conditions.
The plots were sprayed at 7, 10 and 14-day-intervals.
In the plastic tunnel trial all fungicides reduced the incidence of disease.
Ronilan and Sumilex at a concentration of 0.1% gave the best disease control on leaves and flowers.
Frequency of spraying did not influence efficacity.
The phytotoxicity of dichlofluanid was observed.
The field application of dicarboximide fungicides also gave excellent control of Botrytis spots.
Lack of significant differences in disease severity was noted on plants sprayed with dicarboximide fungicides at concentrations of 0.05% and 0.1%.
