Abstract:
According to Rouxel and Grouet, the cyclamen wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cyclaminis is known in Europe 40 years ago.
After 1940, the disease has been noted in Italy, England and Bulgaria.
In 1949, in samples from glasshouses in the San Francisco Bay region of California, Tompkins and Snyder observed suspicious symptoms of the disease.
In a laboratory the presence of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cyclaminis was confirmed.
In 1984, we noted for the first time the disease in Spain in glasshouses near Madrid.
